WILSER DRAGON was destroying an area in the region of Helvetia, near the town of Wilser. Winckelriedt, a man banished from Wilser for manslaughter, was offered a pardon if he killed the dragon. He slew the dragon with a sword, but as he raised the sword triumphantly, the dragon's blood ran down the sword and dripped onto him. When the blood touched him, it killed him.
