Junior Level Activity #2
Discuss what makes an effective advertising poster (large lettering,
attractive graphics, meaningful message etc.) Have students select
a particular example of destruction of the environment by pollution,
an agent and a solution. Using these three considerations have
each student plan and create a poster (using cut or torn paper
or any other medium) to advertise the situation. The posters could
be placed around the school or even the community to advertise
student concern. If using construction paper, students should
be shown how to create cut letters.
